Evergreen Cemetery has been in existence since 1907 and is situated on 120 acres, of which 60 arces are currently developed. Along with traditional ground burial, Evergreen offers invidual mausoleums, and provisions for cremation dispositions  to include a Columbarium for innichement of cremated remains,  several niche banks located throughout the cemetery,  an Urn Garden for interring cremated remains and a Scattering Garden with a remeberance wall. Evergreen Cemetery is the burial location of many  Tucson pioneers and is rich with history that boasts veteran, religeous and fraternal sections. Research and educational projects are available at Evergreen and we welcome visitors. The cemetery is also listed in several aviary magazines  as a place to view many varities of hawks, birds and owls. Please call to have your group schedule a visit. 


Cemetery Flower and Decoration Policy


Evergreen Cemetery has the obligation and responsibility to all owners of burial property in Evergreen to maintain and preserve the appearance of the cemetery. The following are current flower regulations for interments, entombments and innichements. Cemetery management retains the right to remove all flowers and decorations when in management's opinion their appearance is unsightly or unsafe.

GROUND BURIALS/ENTOMBMENTS:

Flowers are allowed in approved sub-surface type containers or certain other vases as part of the memorial and approved by management.
Flowers or other decorations not in approved containers may be placed on the grave 7 days before these holidays: Easter, Mother's Day and Father's Day and will be removed 7 days after the holiday.
All flowers will be removed from graves twice a year for general clean-up: 2 weeks after MEMORIAL DAY is observed and 3 weeks after CHRISTMAS. Christmas decorations may be placed on the grave immediately after Thanksgiving.

NICHES:

Above flower regulations apply, however only niche vases are allowed in the columbarium. Special arrangements may be placed on the table or marble hearth inside the columbarium chapel 7 days before the above holidays and will be removed within the third week after the holiday.

Evergreen offers a variety of
permanent vases for your convenience
